If you are using MyTime's POS, you can add taxes to the products and services you sell. To add or update taxes:
- Go to your POS
- Select Inventory
- Select Settings
The following screen will appear. In the Taxes section, type in the name and rate of the tax you'd like to create. Use the drop-down arrows to indicate which locations you'd like the tax to apply, and whether the tax is for products, services or both.
You may create as many taxes as you like. If you add two taxes that are applicable to the same items (in the example below, I've added 2 separate product taxes), both taxes will be applied to applicable products. In this example, the total tax on products will be 6% (4% + 2%).
You cannot choose which tax to apply when checking out a ticket. Taxes will be auto-applied based upon your settings on this page.
When you've finished creating these taxes, select Save. After you've saved your taxes, the tax will be applied to tickets with applicable products and services. You can see the total tax charged on each ticket (see below).
