Line Item Display on Ingenico Terminals

Items added to POS tickets can be shown to clients on the display screen of Ingenico credit card terminals. Some jurisdictions may even require this be done by law. This will guarantee that each item's price, which the client must pay for, is clearly presented when the price is interpreted by the system. In this article, we will walk through how this can be accomplished.       

Things to know:

  1. This feature is only available to merchants who have a Global Payments payment account and use Ingenico terminals. You can see the full list of supported hardware at https://mytime.com/hardware.
  2. When a ticket is adjusted, a display prompt describing the description, price, and quantity of each item will appear. Taxes, discounts, and the total will be displayed separately.
  3. When the ticket is closed or you navigate away from the point of sale, the terminal will automatically clear itself.  

Enable Line Item Display Setting

  1. Navigate to Business Setup >Settings
  2. Locate the POS section
  3. Toggle the "Enable Line Item Display on Ingenico Terminals" setting Business-Settings__5_.png            
  4. Save 

Display Line Items on Ingenico Terminals

  1. Navigate to POS > New Ticket
  2. Select your desired location
  3. Expand the dropdown menu in the upper right-hand corner of the page  image-png-1366_768-__1_.png
  4. Select the desired terminal 
  5. Add items to the ticket Ticket-Details-MyTime__3_.png
  6. There will be a prompt on the terminal that lists each item's description, cost, and quantity. Taxes, discounts, and the total will be displayed separately.            
  7. Once the client is satisfied, select the Take Payment button
  8. Swipe or Key-In Card

Whenever you navigate away from the POS or when the ticket is closed, the terminal will automatically clear. You can manually clear the terminal screen in all other circumstances by pressing the "Clear Terminal Screen" button in the upper right-hand corner of the page.
