Deleting a Breed
- Navigate to the Clients tab > Click "Customize Client Field"
- Scroll to the "Custom Pet Field" and expand the pet breed field
- Search for the desired pet breed from the list
- Once located, click the "X" beside the breed to delete it
- Confirm the deletion
- Save
What to Expect After Deleting a Pet Breed
1. Regular service price is set and the pet breed covered under that service was deleted
Result - Deleting a pet breed does not have any effect on regular service pricing; the information will be retained. The only difference after the pet breed has been deleted is that it won't appear in any breed dropdown list when scheduling an appointment for a new pet.
2. Regular service price for the deleted pet breed is updated on the service menu
Result - When the price for the service is updated, the existing pets will get the updated service pricing. The only difference after the breed has been deleted is that it won't appear in any breed dropdown list when scheduling an appointment for a new pet.
3. The price by breed is set and the pet breed assigned that price was deleted
Result -Deleting a breed does not have any effect on pricing or duration for existing pets; the information is retained. The breed will still be visible in the price by breed section on the service menu. The only difference after the breed has been deleted is that it won't appear in any breed dropdown list when scheduling an appointment for a new pet.
4. Price by breed for the deleted pet breed was updated on the service menu
Result - When the price for the breed is updated, the existing pets will get the updated service pricing. The only difference after the breed has been deleted is that it won't appear in any breed dropdown list when scheduling an appointment for a new pet.
5. Custom price is set for the pet on the pet profile and the pet breed was deleted
Result - If a custom price is set for a breed on the pet profile, deleting the breed does not have any effect on custom pricing for existing pets. The only difference after the breed has been deleted is that it won't appear in any breed dropdown list when scheduling an appointment for a new pet.
6. The custom price set on the pet profile was updated
Result - When the custom price for the service is updated, the existing pets will get the updated service pricing. The only difference after the breed has been deleted is that it won't appear in any breed dropdown list when scheduling an appointment for a new pet.
