In this article, we’ll review how to edit vendor profiles and the products assigned to those vendors in MyTime.
Things to Know:
- The ability to edit a vendor profile is governed by the "Manage Inventory Vendors" access control setting.
- You can edit External IDs for both vendors and vendor SKUs, but this is controlled by a hidden setting. To enable this feature, please contact our Support Team at support@mytime.com.
- The External ID fields will only appear if this hidden setting is enabled.
- When manually creating a vendor profile, the option to add External IDs will not be available unless this setting is enabled.

Editing a Vendor Profile
To manually edit a vendor profile:
- Navigate to POS > Inventory
- Select Vendor Profiles from the left-hand panel
- Locate the vendor you want to edit and click View
- In the left-hand panel, click Edit Vendor Profile
- You can edit the following fields:
- Vendor Name: The vendor’s name.
- Vendor Address: The vendor’s complete address.
- Vendor Contact Information: Fax number, phone number, and email address.
- External ID: The vendor’s external ID (visible only if the hidden setting is enabled).
- Payment Method: The method(s) used to pay this vendor for purchase orders.
- Vendor Account by Location: Add or edit the account ID for each location.
- Once your edits are complete, click Save to apply your changes.
Editing Vendor SKUs
To edit the products associated with a vendor profile:
- Navigate to POS > Inventory
- Select Vendor Profile from the left-hand panel.
- Open the vendor profile
- Locate the product you want to edit
- Click the Edit icon next to the product
- You can edit the following fields:
- Vendor SKU: The vendor-assigned SKU for the product, if different from the manufacturer’s SKU
- MOQ (Minimum Order Quantity): The minimum quantity required when reordering this product
- Cost: The cost your business pays for this product from the vendor
- External ID: The external ID specific to this vendor SKU (visible only if the hidden setting is enabled)
- Available for Purchase Order: If unchecked, this product will not appear in the product library when creating a purchase order
- After making your updates, click Save to apply your changes
